When Swarup Mishra first set foot on Kenyan soil in 1997, he was an ambitious gynaecologist with nothing but a suitcase and a dream.

A son of Odisha, India, Dr Mishra came to Eldoret alongside his wife, Pallavi, in search of opportunity.

After successfully working as a lecturer of Medicine at Moi University, the obstetrics and gynaecology specialist founded Mediheal Group of Hospitals alongside his wife, also a medic.
